Rev 3:14-18
I know your deeds that you are neither hot nor cold I wish you were either one or the other. So, because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my moth. you say, I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing but you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
The solutions mankind has is limited. Our actual healing and development is limited. Mans solutions do not heal generations nor do they heal our lives. Mankind’s solutions keeps people functionally sick. No solution mankind has addresses the true issues that effect our lives. Self help books, Dr. prescriptions, surgeries, exercise, and nutrition offers only fleeting sustainability for human life. The blessings we have been given can blind us from the truth. The things we earn can blind us from the truth. What we have can blind us from the truth.
Verse 18 speaks the truth of what God can do. Verse 18 along with the deeper Gospel Message speakes to what God has done, can do, is doing, and will do. (Isaiah 6:3) In order for us to understand, we need to open our ears and hear the Spirit of God speaking and directing.
“So be earnest snd repent. Here I Am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.”
Where is our dependence?
